Public transport
Boston and its adjoining neighborhoods are interconnected through a dense network of subway lines, buses, and commuter rail. The Photonics Building is across the street from the MBTA subway system's Green B-line BU-Central stop as well as a few minutes walking distance from the Green C-line Saint Mary's Street stop and the Green D-line Fenway Park stop. The Boston Logan international airport is also fairly accessible by public transportation. Maps and schedules of the subway system are available in the Massachusetts Bay Transport Authority website.

Restaurants
A wide range of restaurants, both in terms of cost and food variety, are located in close proximity to the campus. A short "T" ride away are more upscale dining options on Newbury Street or in the Old Town. More information can be found in the BU Information Center or in the interactive map
